Recap 2008: Day 04

This morning we started strongly, after making our ritual breakfast at Edoya VanHouten reinforced with a supermarket we went to Asakusa. After leaving the station, to get to the strip where the door Kaminarimon can see the bottom "the golden milestone" that is part of the brewery building "Asahi". So I could not help me a photic.

Opposite the door Kaminarimon (the one below with the lantern) is a tourist information office took the opportunity to visit and catch some shots, after it finally went on the attack!

The great thing is arriving at 8:45 and there was no one could make us all the photos we wanted with confidence, look if you want photos of the same site and watch the crowd that usually have around. However, it is the most visited temple in Tokyo.

The downside of going at this hour is that Nakamise stores (the street leading from the door to the temple Sensoji mentioned) do not open until 9:30, there was no one normal! But it is ideal for us, what we did is go straight to Sensoji and let Nakamise for later. So nothing, marching Sensoji.

That temple is magical, if anything should be essential in Tokyo Sensoji.

Below that looks like a Zodiac hemp espadrille is the Buddha (large zori) and is at the door Hozomon ... that is not huge but there is curiosity.

Browsing around Sensoji and saying our shit in Spanish protected by the impunity which means that no one understands you (always with respect) a girl approached us with a strong Argentine accent. After introducing (I think his name was Sofia) asked us was what we were seeing, basically did not know where it was.

After explaining where he told us that it was scaling from Buenos Aires and about to begin an amazing journey through Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, ...) and therefore had not prepared his stay in Tokyo. So I politely invite you to follow during the hours I wanted. As you see in the picture below is not only in Asakusa Sensoji, is fascinating corners.

Here you have the video we recorded in Asakusa:

After satisfying our photographic needs and I went back at last of the little shops were open Nakamise.

The truth is that prices were not bad (at the time the change was 1 € = 150) and got fed up of buying everything, especially yukata.

Not only for the price worth gossiping stores, also for the variety, here you find everything, everything and everything in japoneros souvenirs.

I was amused by the google translation of this poster style "service for women."

At the exit of Asakusa and heat pressed and we loaded the bags. Juanmita-San opted for a "cafelito of life" rather chilly to regain strength.

This bridge is going down over the Sumida river and heads toward the Asahi factory, you see hiding behind the umbrella lady, Sofia decided to follow us.

From the bridge take pictures of the "golden milestone" in all its glory

Our aim was not to go to the brewery company if not do the cruise on the Sumida which would take us to the park Hamarikyu.

The cruise is not particularly interesting. Just a different way to get to Hamarikyu, I leave down two photos taken during the cruise (any relation between them is circumstantial).

We landed in the park and again Hamarikyu invades us feel out of place in a forest surrounded by skyscrapers, of course expected to go flat because it is easy to become disoriented by and the signs do not help much.

Within the park is a lake with great views. Another thing we found in the park was a "freak nasal voice who teaches Spanish at the University of Akihabara" (to the wise ...) I was just lying on the grass and staring into space.

The pictures you can take in the park are very resultonas.

I share the video of the cruise on the Sumida and some Hamarikyu:

After getting out of the park we went to the nearby Shimbashi station (located between skyscrapers), and from there we route to Ueno Park.

The route was basically in Ueno walk in the park. The first site you find if you access the park from Uguisudani station is the Tokyo National Museum.

I was not planning on visiting, and thank goodness since Monday close. In this photo we see that JuanJo-chan is left wanting.

But anyway, you eased the frustration of making a new friend ...

Within the park there is a shrine to Inari.

And adjacent to the temple is the Ueno Daibutsu, or Buddha Ueno, in this case only your face.

After that change direction and head for the chapel Toshogu, perhaps the most interesting Ueno Park and is dedicated to the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. The tens of bronze lamps that adorn the path of puedra are incredible.

It is not a very original photo ... but I love it!

Next to the Toshogu Shrine is another 5-story pagoda, one more ... but I never tired of admiring their beauty.

The inner enclosure of Toshogu is not as interesting as its surroundings as it is very similar to other Shinto shrines we had visited.

After Toshogu it was time to go dle Ueno park, as you see in the picture below defines a great Torii access to the park, reminding us that were leaving sacred ground.

That day we ate at a KFC, so do not bother to take pictures, also urged hunger. Chubby Once the group split into two, one part went to the Edoya to rest and let the packets pass with the purchase of the day. Juanmita Edu-san and I continue to explore ... and got off at the Ochanomizu station, close to Edoya, but to learn more about Bunkyo-ku.

One of the sites we visited was the Cathedral Nikolai belonging to the Orthodox Church. When we enter a parishioner responsible for what us very kindly and explained the history of the cathedral, the fire has had his resconstrucciones ... etc. It was pleasant to communicate with someone, is not as common cross with someone who can handle English, at least as common as I thought.

Kanda then crossed the river (a tributary of the Sumida) to the north and stopped at the Shrine Yushima Seido. This shrine rose to be the main academy of Confucianism in the late 17. Admission is free and when we visited had a little left areas of the hand of God, but worth a visit and see the statue of Confucius.

Coming out of Yushima Seido third temple we went to the afternoon. These three temples are three jewels that are really close to the hotel Edoya from the rutillas Ochanomizu is a most enjoyable ride. The third sanctuary in question is Kanda Myojin. Kanda Myojin, legend gives divine help to have prosperity in business.

Here is a shot of Edu-chan in full toy drive at your company.

To the left of the entrance we find this particular machine, where an ogre puppet as you selected a paper with your lot depending on the button that you pressed. It is curious to note that the paper that came out was favorable fate, like that which came out in Asakusa and Juanmita-san that came out of misfortunio as in Asakusa ... coincidence or kami watching us?

We split up to photograph the temple, and looking out the area behind first I found Shinto monk With It? that reminded me very much Takeshi Kitano. Very kindly agreed to take a picture with that stupid Gaijin.

After my picture with the monk began to leave these girls, not whether it would or nuns were doing the "communion" the matter is that behind parents were wearing shirts soooo expensive cars outside were those of several million. Obviously, this sanctuary is very close to the people with tickets.

Well, as I said a couple of our group broke up in Ueno for running time, the hotel for a nap. But our friend Goku Vidañez took the opportunity to take a picture of this grocery store to see the exorbitant price of fresh fruit.

Returning to the group of three that follow the path, after leaving Kanda Myojin Edoya we came back to cool and sit for a while before going to Tokyo Dome City. But once in Edoya the disaster, which would be a shower and rest 50 little minutes became a nap longer than 2 hours. The trigger we reached late at Tokyo Dome City.

Tokyo Dome even one area attractions, dining and entertainment variety has a strange schedule, closes VERY early. When we arrived attractions and restaurants were closing and were beginning to fail to support clients. As you see my face in the picture I walked with a monumental mosqueo, myself, for making that stupid decision.

Nevertheless Juanmita-san and I hopped on the treadmill while the rest of the group went to the roller coaster. This was the last trip of the day as both attractions closed after that. The restaurants also closed the Bubba Gump so we took this photo just a souvenir.

For all we play dinner at a new site, we caused a big impact and loved it. CoCo's discovered there in Akihabara. Not a Coco's curry as it may seem from the name, but a la carte restaurant with free refill of drink, and where they have PAN! After that we returned on foot to the Hotel Edoya, and on the way we welcome our good friend down like every night ...

And sleeping tomorrow!
