ginza.jpg

Ginza (银座) is a district of Chuo ward (Chuo 中央 区), Tokyo, Japan. Ginza is located south of Yaesu and Kyobashi, west of Tsukiji district, east of Yurakucho and Uchisaiwaicho, and north of Shinbashi. It is famous for the concentration of department stores, boutiques and restaurants. Ginza is the most traditional commercial district around Tokyo, as of today there are more modern areas, but Ginza is one that has more slab, marked with prohibitive prices. One square meter of land in the downtown district has a value of more than ten billion yen, making it one of the most expensive areas in Japan. This is where you can drink you coffee mugs to $ 10 and where almost all major brands of fashion and cosmetics has a shop.

The visit to Ginza is nicer on a weekend afternoon, when the central Chuo Dori is closed to traffic and becomes a pedestrian zone. The closure takes place from 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sundays.

Only you can not enter the auction area, but from outside you can see a little and especially listen to the cries of the auctioneers, it's something. The rest of the market can freely enter and that's where, if you're lucky, find a teacher cutting up tuna. When you ready the last post and I will pass you the link so you can see it and decide if you want ^ __ ^
